MTDI 1100 - Weather
Basic atmospheric physical processes are investigated in order to gain a deeper scientific understanding of weather phenomena and to explore atmospheric environmental issues such as: the Antarctic ozone hole, global climate change and air pollution. Topics include: structure and composition of the atmosphere, radiation and energy transfer, temperature, moisture, clouds and precipitation, thunderstorms, global circulations, the jet stream, mid-latitude cyclones, tornadoes, hurricanes, global climate change and air pollution. Students who have completed MTDI 1200 or MT 2110 cannot take this course. Falls and Springs. Corequisite(s): MTDI 1110. (SIDI)
