Council on Undergraduate Research

Last year, PSU joined the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR), an organization with over 550 other institutions that support undergraduate research.

Our mission is to have a central point of contact for undergraduate research in all colleges and link from these pages to various departmental programs and presentations on campus as well as highlight opportunities and events through CUR and other participating institutions.

A number of our faculty in various departments, especially in the sciences, have established a record of student involvement in research and have advised and guided students through the research process, including presentations at regional and national professional meetings.

Last year, the Scientific Research Symposium, sponsored by the Office of the Provost, College of Graduate Studies, and NH-INBRE, and our first Student Showcase of Excellence were held on campus on April 29-30, 2011 at the Joan and Eugene Savage Welcome Center.  We plan to continue events like these that will improve and promote a growing research environment at Plymouth State University.
