Video: Making A Difference At Home And In The World

For Plymouth this means a 135-year tradition of excellence in teaching; a mountain setting so majestic and invigorating that it strengthens character and keeps life in perspective on even the most challenging days; a level of excellence in programs and facilities that you might find at schools twice as large; any number of decisive moments and peak experiences that will transform you forever; and an education that will reward your efforts for the rest of your life.

Questions Answered

Are internships available?

Yes, indeed. Internships are a very important part of PSU’s learning-by-doing philosophy. Some are an integral part of a specific curriculum and others are elective, but always a possibility. Some are coordinated by departments; many are overseen by the Global Education Office.

Hello from Amanda at Plymouth State University

MAPS VP of Human Resources Amanda RodriguezHi! My name is Amanda Rodriguez and I want to tell you about some of the academic programs at PSU. I’m a senior Marketing major with a minor in Media Studies and I’m super excited to be one of the first students to graduate from the newly established College of Business Administration (COBA) here at PSU! It feels good to be part of something that’s growing the way COBA and Plymouth State are, but it also feels good to to be part of a program with such strong traditions: PSU students have won high honors in the Small Business Institute’s national competitions for 11 years in a row!

In addition to my major in Marketing, I’m the VP of Human Resources for the Marketing Association of Plymouth State (MAPS), the PSU chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA). Student organizations like MAPS are a big part of life at PSU, and being involved has given me real-life experience and allowed me to go to conferences and events that have helped me develop my professional network. That experience has added a lot to my résumé and will help me stand out as I enter the job market this coming May.

PS: I’ve attached a photo from our recent conference in New Orleans. That’s me up front in the smart gray suit:

The PSU Advantage

The price is right.

The cost of a Plymouth State University education is reasonable for both in-state and out-of-state students.

PSU is the perfect place to be able to meet new people, have new experiences and just have an overall positive place to learn and have fun. I found by getting involved at school and keeping busy has allowed me to have a really great time at Plymouth State for the past couple years.
