You can come for a tour almost any weekday, but this month we have two open houses and a Saturday information session planned. In addition to a campus tour, open house participants can attend a class and meet with admissions, financial aid, or staff in other offices. Saturday sessions include discussion with a panel of students along with the tour.

Want to catch a game? The leaves are just off the trees and it still feels like fall, but hockey season has already started. The Panther Women will be playing five home games through November and the beginning of December. The men’s team picks up from there with a long stretch of home games through December and January.

What is the average class size?

Our average class size is around 23 students. The largest is around 60 and the smallest, four.

How soon will I get my admission decision?

Plymouth State has rolling admission. It will be approximately four to six weeks from the time of your completed application until you receive a decision.

Can students study abroad even in their freshman year?

Yes. Plymouth State offers students a unique experience to attend Limerick University in Ireland for the 1st semester of your freshman year. More information about this exciting program can be found on the Bagley Center web site.

Whether you’re a player or a spectator, Plymouth has sports for you. We offer eight men’s and eleven women’s varsity sports, eight club sports and intramurals from golf to Ultimate Frisbee.

Will I have an advisor?

Yes, all students have an advisor and are assigned as early as new student orientation.

Are internships available?

Yes, indeed. Internships are a very important part of PSU’s learning-by-doing philosophy. Some are an integral part of a specific curriculum and others are elective, but always a possibility. Some are coordinated by departments; many are overseen by The Bagley Center.

Is housing guaranteed all four years?

Housing is available all four years, as long as students meet deposit deadlines (first year) and are timely in their response to room draw notices. Usually students live in the residence halls for the first two years, then have the option to live in student apartments or off campus.

Do you have early admission?

No, we have rolling admissions—so as soon as your first quarter or first trimester grades are ready, you can gather your other materials and complete your application. (See the deadlines for fall and spring, above.)
