This endowment honors the memory of Margaret “Peg” Rock Kenyon and, in her memory, funds scholarships for worthy non-traditional students pursuing careers in education, social work, environmental studies, journalism, or medicine. Candidates are older than their classmates and they are contributing to their own educational expenses through part-time or full-time employment. Selection is based on the applicant’s latent potential for achievement and maturity; recommendations of faculty, university or home community members, or peers; and financial need. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0. Candidates are nominated by the PAT Scholarship Committee and other faculty. As part of the screening process, candidates are required to complete an application. Recipients are chosen by the PAT Scholarship Committee.
* Students who would like to be considered for scholarships that identify financial need as a criteria will need to complete the Federal Financial Aid Application before the March 1 deadline. Academic and Non-Academic Departments offering scholarships collaborate with the Financial Aid Office, therefore, it is imperative that students comply with PSU policy. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for further assistance.
A student must be enrolled as a full-time student at PSU to be eligible to receive scholarship awards listed on this page.
