As a Plymouth State alumnus, a New Hampshire native, and a business person in the state, I know that investing in higher education–in our own workforce–is the single best thing that we can do to boost economic development. As a newly-elected state representative for District 2 in Merrimack County (Franklin and Hill), economic development and education are among my highest priorities.

Maybe you’ve heard about some of the current issues facing public institutions of higher education in New Hampshire? If you haven’t, I urge you to take a look at PSU Works for New Hampshire and learn about what restoring the state appropriation would mean for our alma mater. These issues are real and stand to have a significant impact on our state, the economy, and our citizens for years to come.
What can you do? This isn’t an appeal for donations. What I’m asking you to do is, if you’re a New Hampshire resident, join me and sign up to be an advocate for our alma matertoday. If you live out of state, forward this information to your friends, alumni and others, who reside in New Hampshire and care deeply about the state’s future.
This is an important conversation, and it’s vital that our voices be heard. I encourage you to get involved today.
