Plymouth State University Alumni Association Overview

 

 

Mission:         The mission of the Plymouth State University Alumni Association shall be to engage all alumni of the university in a meaningful way in support of the university, its mission and its students

 

Goals:

1.   To enhance the image of Plymouth State University

2.   To advocate for Plymouth State University

3.   To support the fundraising goals of Plymouth State University

4.   To provide support and resources to Plymouth State alumni and students

 

Board of Directors

If you would like to nominate an individual alumnae/us for consideration of appointment to the Plymouth State University Alumni Association Board of Directors, please complete our on-line nomination form.

Overriding Values

Each member of the Board of Directors agrees to act and make decisions that are in the best interest of the Association.

 

Charge

The Board of Directors shall be responsible for developing and implementing the operating plan necessary to serve the needs of the association and the University.

 

Management

The management of the Plymouth State University Alumni Association shall be vested in a board of sixteen alumni Directors. Directors shall be appointed to serve a term of four years. Terms will begin on July 1 and end on June 30 four years hence.  A Director may only serve two consecutive four-year terms. The President of the University, the Director of Alumni Relations,, the Alumni Student Fellow, and the Student Body President or designated representative shall be non-voting ex-officio members.

 

Meetings

The Board of Directors shall hold quarterly meetings each year on dates determined by the Directors.

 

Titles and Terms

The officers of the Plymouth State University Alumni Association shall be a Chairperson, Chairperson-elect and Treasurer who shall be elected directly by the Board of Directors and shall assume office the first day of July each year.  Officers assume office from July 1- June 30. The officers must be elected or appointed members of the PSUAA Board of Directors.
