Gerry Buteau ’86, ’92G is an associate professor in the Education Department at Plymouth State University. Gerry earned a BS in Elementary Education and a MEd in Guidance and Counseling from Plymouth State in 1986 and 1992, respectively.

One of Gerry’s fondest Plymouth State memories was his time as a graduate assistant in the education department while he was working toward his master’s degree. Gerry worked alongside many of the professors he’d had as an undergraduate student and met some wonderful people in the program. “One of my very best friends to this day came about as a result of my time spent as a grad assistant,” he says. If given the opportunity to go back and do things differently he says he would spend more time on campus on the weekends, given the fact that he had to work off campus most weekends.

Currently, Gerry coaches youth sports in his community and serves on various committees at Plymouth State. Gerry resides in Moultonborough, NH.

Gerry’s second term on the board of directors ends in 2016.
