Scholarships and Grants

Did you realize that three of every four full-time undergraduate students enrolled at Plymouth State University receives some form of financial aid? Did you know that over 50 percent of Plymouth State students receive aid in the form of grants and/or scholarship? If you are part of the 50 percent of students who need scholarship assistance, this is the place for you.

American Association of University Women
Non-Traditional Student Scholarship Fund

This endowment funds scholarships for outstanding non-traditional Plymouth State undergraduate women. The scholarship award shall be made on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Notification of this scholarship will be mailed to students in early December. Applications are available in the Alumni Office and need to be completed by March annually. Qualified candidates are contacted for interviews and the PSUAA Scholarship Committee determines the recipient.

Robert J. Doherty Jr. ’86 Scholarship Fund
This endowment honors Robert J. Doherty Jr. ’86 and, in his memory, funds scholarships for outstanding Plymouth State students. The recipient shall have successfully completed his/her freshman year, and must be a resident of Rochester, NH. If there is no qualified student from Rochester, the limitation will be expanded to surrounding communities in the Seacoast Region. Candidates are determined on the basis of academic merit, demonstrated leadership ability and financial need. Notification of this scholarship will be mailed to Plymouth State students in early December. 

Plymouth State University Alumni Association Graduate Scholarship
Criteria are determined by the PSUAA Scholarship Committee. Notification of this scholarship will be mailed to PSU students in early December. Applications are available in the Alumni Office and need to be completed by March, annually. Qualified candidates are contacted for interviews and the PSUAA Scholarship Committee determines the recipient. Application

Plymouth State University Alumni Association Merit Award
This $700 affinity revenue funded merit award is available to all undergraduate and graduate students. Criteria are determined by the PSUAA Scholarship Committee. Applications are available in the Alumni Office and need to be completed by April, annually. Qualified candidates are contacted for interviews and the PSUAA Scholarship Committee determines the recipient. Application

Alumni -Student Connections Grant (pronounced ASK)
The Office of Alumni Relations offers eight $500 grants to recognized student organizations to support the creation and implementation of programs centered around the goals of the student organization. The programs must connect students, alumni, and the campus community in a meaningful way. Application
