Important: Alumni Association and Student Affairs Guidelines for Alcohol Consumption
Federal legislation was enacted that promotes health and curbs substance abuse at colleges and universities. The Drug Free Schools and Communities Act of 1989 (P.L. 101-226) requires that all constituents of the Plymouth State family comply with the Campus Alcohol Policy. This policy is consistent with local, state and federal law. Failure by any individual to do so may jeopardize federal funding to the institution. Any alcohol consumed-by alumni, family members or their guests-on campus grounds, must be purchased through the licensed bar at the event in question and consumed at that event. University Police have been asked to assist in enforcement. Since Plymouth State has a fine tradition of promoting healthy values associated with wellness, we are confident that alumni will lend their full support.
