James B. Moore '93 James has been a part of Plymouth State since he first stepped onto campus in 1989. During his four years at Plymouth, he managed to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with a minor in Spanish. James received the Harold E. Hyde MVP for PSC Student Senate in 1990; the Lawrence S. Cooper Memorial Award for “making a significant contribution to student life” in 1993; the Van A. Hartman Memorial Award for “outstanding Graduating Senior Male” in 1993 and was inducted into the Phi Sigma Iota Foreign Language Honor Society in 1992. After leaving Plymouth, James received his M.Ed in Communication Studies from Emerson College in 1996 and his M.S. in Criminal Justice Administration from Western New England College in 2000. As an alumnus, James volunteered as a former Class Agent for the Class of 1993 and served on the Board of Directors during 1994. He has also volunteered for Phonathon and served on the Nominating Committee. James also plays in the Dearborn Golf Classic. Today, James serves as a shining star for other Plymouth State alumni. He has dedicated his life to service by becoming a police officer in Methuen, Mass. James deals daily with high pressure situations and often uses his conflict resolution skills to diffuse difficult situations. His commitment to service is exemplified through the number of leadership positions he has held throughout his tenure on the force.In addition to his work as a police officer, James has his real estate license and partners with his wife, Tricia, at Tom Saab Associates. James also completed a volunteer Congressional Internship with Congressman Dick Sweet’s office in the summer of 1993. James can’t wait to once again become more involved with volunteering for the school that gave him his start, Plymouth. For his dedication to Plymouth State University, the larger community and his country, the PSUAA is proud to present James B. Moore, Class of 1993, with one of the 2004 Alumni Achievement Awards. |
