Entry to BFA 2D and 3D Studio BFA Portfolio Requirements

Portfolio Requirements

Portfolios must include an Application form,  completed curriculum planning guide, and an Artist's Statement. (all forms are available in the Art Department Office, D&M 207 and in the kiosk outside the office).  Portfolios without these documents will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed.

All artwork should be well-presented and protected from damage.  Portfolios must be presented clearly with clear labels.  2D works do not need to be matted but should have a cover sheet.  3D works may be presented digitally using JPG photographs and/or powerpoint prepared on a CD.

Portfolio must include:

  • Application Form
  • Curriculum Planning Guide
  • Artist Statement
  • Portfolio Assessment Criteria form
  • Two clearly labeled examples from all first and second year studio art courses taken, including this semester (a minimum of 15 and maximum of 20 examples of artwork are required). Please include more works from your intended area of concentration after the minimum of 2 per course has been fulfilled.
  • Minimum of one sketchbook
