Elizabeth D'Amico has taught art in both public and private schools on all levels, kindergarten through grade twelve. Before becoming adjunct at Plymouth State University in 2002, Elizabeth served as a mentor for PSU art education students. She has been a presenter at regional arts education conferences. She currently teaches two sections of Creativity and the Visual World as well as a First Year Seminar course.
Perhaps because of her extensive teaching experience, Elizabeth continues to explore a variety of media for her own artistic expression. She loves painting and printmaking most, but some of her recent work is with ceramics, encaustic painting and box assemblages. She draws inspiration from nature and the beauty to be found there. Elizabeth exhibits regularly in regional exhibits and her work is in private collections locally and nationally.
Elizabeth is also a professional musician, has directed Revels productions, and is a contributing author to national art magazines. She is a former member of both local and national art educators associations and a current member of the Women's Caucus for the Arts and the Alliance for the Visual Arts, Lebanon, NH. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University, a Masters degree from Columbia University, and has completed additional graduate studies in both art and music.
