Field trips are a great way to introduce students to the variety of ways chemistry is applied in the real world. In the general chemistry program, at PSU, students visit world-renowned Hubbard Brook Research Station in Thornton, NH within the White Mountain National Forest, a few miles north of PSU. Students later analyze their collected water samples in the laboratory.
