About Brendon Hoch 

Brendon Hoch has served as the technology manager for the Judd Gregg Meteorology Institute since fall 2004. He is the chief systems administrator for a growing array of servers and workstations within the Institute, managing a wide variety of observational equipment and multimedia technology. Hoch has also played a key role in a cooperative project with the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to deploy over 50 weather observation stations throughout the state. In addition, Brendon teaches several classes, ranging from introductory scientific inquiry (Weather) to graduate level course work in meteorological software applications.

Prior to arriving at Plymouth State, Brendon served for seven years as a systems analyst with the International Research Institute for Climate Prediction, Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory, Columbia University. He played an integral role in the rapid growth of the IRI and was involved with many aspects of planning and development. Hoch performed a wide array of diverse duties ranging from operational climate modeling to systems administration. During his tenure at IRI, Brendon created and developed a real time meteorological data acquisition system from both satellite and Internet based feeds. In addition, he served for four years as an adjunct professor of meteorology at Bergen Community College, (Paramus, N.J.), and has also worked as a consultant.

Originally from New Jersey, Brendon earned a B.S in earth and atmospheric sciences from Rutgers University and an M.S. in atmospheric sciences from Ohio State University.
