Assessment Advisory Group

Minutes – November 15, 2002

 

Present:  J. Bernier, T. Boggess, I. Cucina, L. Daily, W. Fogleman, B. McCahan, A. Staples.

 

 

       This meeting started at 8:05 a.m.  

 

1. Minutes of Oct. 18 and Nov. 1 were accepted without change.
2. Chair Fogleman passed out copies of the most recent PSU Strategic Plan, Goals A through I, as well as Goal XI from the previous Strategic Plan.  The latter was reviewed to see how close the campus is to its targets.  The former was to allow members to look them over and develop comments on the assessability of the goals.
3. Laura Daily passed out copies of “Rubric for the Six Facets of Understanding” from Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe.
4. Members interested in attending the next AAHE Assessment forum in June should contact Julie Bernier so she can try to set aside funding.
5. The last meeting for this semester will be held at 8 am, Friday, Dec. 6, in the HUB, probably in Rm.119.
