Minutes

Approval of the Minutes: It was moved, seconded and voted to approve the minutes of the last meeting

 

Report from NEASC Visit: 

 

  1. Members of the committee met with Dr. McBride-Diliddo.  Questions from the team were about our campus-wide academic assessment plan. We noted that our plan is becoming increasingly coordinated bottom-up and top- down.  The role of campus-wide planning in the development of our assessment plan was also noted.

 

  1. Recommendations were to have the ATF develop Institute assessment plan.

 

New Business: 

1.      Irene Cucina shared copies of assessment plan from IUPUI.  It was suggested that two sub-committees be formed to accomplish:

    1. Investigation of what other organizations are doing for institutional assessment (Kathleen and Alice volunteered)
    2. Development of in-service workshops for faculty and staff development in the area of institutional assessment. (Nick and Wavell).

 

  1. Bob Fitzpatrick addressed the group regarding Foundations of Excellence program and requested assistance in completing the inventory of 1st year data for the Assessments for the Foundation of Excellence Program.   The group reviewed a first draft and offered suggestions and input.  Additional ideas were offered and plans developed for further collection information.

 

Topic for upcoming meetings:  11/18 – Department Course Evaluations, 12/2 Questions on the CSEQ, 12/16 USNH Alumni Survey.
