In addition to the departmental outcomes, students who complete the Health Education major are able to:

  1. Demonstrate a basic functional knowledge of the 10 content areas in health education appropriate for an entry level allied health professional
  2. Assess individual and community need for health education
  3. Plan effective health education programs
  4. Implement health education programs
  5. Evaluate the effectiveness of health education programs
  6. Act as a resource person for health education
  7. Communicate health and health education needs concerns and resources
  8. Demonstrate commitment to professionalism and ongoing professional development as a health educator
