ABBAT, AGNES DEAN[N]Born New York City June 23, 1847.Died Died 1917.Abbat studied at Cooper Union and the Nation Academy. She studied under James D. Smillie and R. Swain Gifford. Abbat exhibited at the Brooklyn Art Club in 1875 and at the NAD in 1881. When she exhibited at the NAD, she lived at 337 4th Ave., N.Y.C. She painted flowers and landscapes in watercolor and oils. She was elected to the NAD in 1902.
