Student Support Foundation ~ Food Suggestions

Having difficulty finding money for food? The student board of the Student Support Foundation offers these suggestions.

If you have no access to food from friends or family,
contact the Student Support Foundation immediately. The advisors have an emergency food supply.

If you have some money for food and perform volunteer service,
you can purchase low-cost food through SERVE New England. After looking at the Web site, if you have any questions, you can contact the Plymouth area coordinators: Kenneth Gould at 786-9084 and Barbara Clark at 786-2759.

If you have no money for food, apply for a Student Support Foundation grant for food. Also consider volunteering at these local soup kitchens, where you serve people the meal and then eat with them.

  • Food for All on Tuesdays, 4:45-6 pm, at the Booster Club on Main St. in Ashland, next to the ball fields.
  • Meals for Many on Thursdays, 4:45-6 pm, in the basement of the Plymouth Congregational Church on Main St. in Plymouth.

You do not have to sign up to serve at either of these meals. Simply show up at 4:45 pm on the day listed and say that you would like to help.
