On December 2, 2009, Plymouth State University's Business Department and the Career Services at Bagley House are presenting the 2nd annual CAREER FAIR at PSU, a job/internship fair on campus. You are cordially invited to participate.
Your company can be a featured exhibitor because the number of participants will be thoughtfully limited and will include employers most attractive to students in majors across campus. Understanding that you will be investing your valuable resources in us, we will provide a productive experience for you by maximizing the number of students to your booth. The CAREER FAIR is designed to attract undergraduate and graduate students interested in obtaining full-time career employment, internships (in-service learning programs), or seasonal jobs. Your conversations with students could include talking with them about current or future employment, reviewing resumes, scheduling follow-up appointments, or distributing information regarding the opportunities your company offers. The faculty and administration are confident in the abilities of PSU students and are sure that you will find qualified applicants fully prepared to prove themselves.
Paul Holloway of Holloway Automotive recently stated, "We'd take a graduate of Plymouth State any day."
The CAREER FAIR will be held in the Hartman Student Union Building (the HUB), from 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2nd. On any given Wednesday, 1,700 - 2,300 people come through the HUB's doors. Currently, we are running a web-based survey which reaches the entire student body of 7,000 students (4200 undergraduate and 2800 graduate students). Indications are that over 60% of respondents will attend the fair which is a strong indicator of the depth of student interest.
Attached are an informational flyer and a reservation form (PDF). The registration fee includes two complimentary lunches. The HUB is located in the center of campus and is completely wireless. You are encouraged to bring interactive materials to engage the students. If you have other needs, just let us know.
The CAREER FAIR is your opportunity with a small investment of time and expense to connect to hundreds of Plymouth State's eager and well-prepared students.
