Professional Programs

Applying to professional schools is a competitive and lengthy process. In fact, preparation for these programs should begin in your first year of college. Your undergraduate course work, related experiences, entrance exams and application materials will play a critical role in your selection. To fully prepare yourself for this opportunity, research and planning will be very important.

Pre-Law Minor:
Pre-law studies are chosen by students from many different majors and usually require developing an impressive academic record coupled with sincerity of purpose. The program fosters the development of logic, comprehension, verbal skills and some quantitative analytical methods. The Pre-Law Council, composed of faculty from different disciplines, monitors the Pre-Law minor.The Pre-Law minor ensures a diversity of subject matter that will provide a broad foundation for candidates to law school. Students interested in pursing careers in law should contact Professor Roger O. Babin, the Pre-Law advisor, early in their undergraduate studies.
