Summer and Winterim Study Abroad Students

As you already know, you are responsible for completing all PSU pre-departure requirements, prior to your summer/winterim abroad. These requirements are essential for your safety and security while in another country. Should you have any questions about your pre-departure requirements, contact your study abroad advisor immediately.

Pre-departure requirements outlined below include: Documents to Complete and Return to Bagley and Required Reading. For a complete checklist of all your pre-departure requirements, click here (pdf).

*All pre-departure requirements must be complete at least 3 weeks prior to your departure.

Documents to Complete and Return to Bagley

You have two options for completing paperwork: Fill-In or PDF format

  1. Fill-In format – Open document, fill out, print, sign and return to Bagley
  2. *If you choose to open the document and fill it in on the web, you cannot save what you have entered, even though you may print what you have typed. We recommend that you save the file to your computer before filling in the form and printing.
  3. PDF format - Open document, print, complete, sign and return to Bagley

***You must also submit a clear copy of your passport – do not fax a copy.

Required Reading

All study abroad participants must read the Pre-Departure Guide and completely review resources on the websites below. You are required to sign-off on the “Agreement of Study Abroad Requirements” document, indicating that you have read the required material.

Medical Insurance: Is it included with your Program?

All study abroad participants must have comprehensive medical insurance. If your selected study abroad program does not include medical insurance, you must purchase CISI through PSU. Coverage is $35 a month and a complete overview of coverage is included in the benefits brochure below. If you are unsure whether you need to purchase insurance, check with your study abroad advisor.
