Nutrition Program

The Child Development and Center participates in the USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program. In accordance with Federal law and USDA policy, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. The Nutrition Program, overseen by the Center's Nutrition Coordinator and Program Coordinator, offers breakfast, morning and afternoon snack, and milk is provided for the children's lunches. Families must provide lunches for their children (Please see the Family Handbook for lunch requirements and suggestions). Breakfast is served from 7:30-8:15 am. It follows USDA requirements and is made up of 3 components from the Food Pyramid. Morning and afternoon snack times vary per room and also meet USDA requirements, being made up of two components from the food pyramid.
