
The Center for the Environment is a collaborative effort between Plymouth State University academic departments, government agencies and regional nonprofit organizations. Established in 2004, the goal of the Center for the Environment is to address the science, policies, culture and economics of the natural environment in northern New England through research, education and collaboration.

The Judd Gregg Meteorology Institute (JGMI) is the home of all educational and research activities relating to atmosphere and weather at Plymouth State University.
The Plymouth State Weather Center is becoming one the most sought-after sources of weather information. During Hurricane Charley in August 2004, this PSU Web site received more than 5 million hits! As the storm approached Florida’s coast and shortly after landfall, we were receiving more than 50 requests per second—more than 300,000 viewers per hour.
