Education

  • B.A., Biology with a minor in Environmental Earth Science, Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic, CT, 2011.

Research Interests and Activities:

  • Protecting and managing habitat is increasingly important in the face of climate change, invasive species and human development.  I am interested in monitoring wildlife and critical habitats, particularly in avian communities.  I am interested in land protection and management in order to increase or enhance available habitat for wildlife.  Furthermore, I wish to engage in outreach, educating or aiding private landowners in managing their properties in ways that meet both their needs and the needs of the environment.

Personal Interests and Community Service:

  • Enjoys hiking, bird watching and being with friends and family.
  • Volunteered with Connecticut Audubon chapters in bird banding demonstrations and land management projects.
  • Coordinated and participated in an environmentally-focused Alternative Spring Break event for Eastern CT State University students at a Virginia state park.
