Research Interests and Activities:
I’m studying the impacts of calcium on transpiration in an acid rain impacted forest. Doing this by Measuring sapflow and root functions in trees on the White Mountain National Forest, at calcium treated sites and control sites. Understanding how forests change and react to human actions and pressures are of interest to me. I recently presented my research at the Society of American Foresters National Convention this fall.
Personal Interests and Community Service:
I enjoy exploring with my dog TJ, he’ll travel with me all over this country. I really like science fiction and outer space, in my opinion its where the future of humanity lies. A goal of mine is to w visit every national forest. I think public lands are Americas greatest asset and I’m grateful to have them.
