Research Interests and Activities:

My experience thus far has been primarily in fisheries research.  I have worked on studies of aquaculture conservation and life history traits of the Northern Leatherside Chub found in the western United States, whirling disease sampling, vaccine studies, and egg disinfection studies among other various projects.  I will always find interest in those topics; however, I am currently looking to take that background to the next step of public interaction.  I want to understand how people relate to the environment and the best ways to communicate to the various sections of ‘the public’.   This could be through a variety of methods including outreach programs, community volunteers, grass root organizations, lake associations, etc…

Personal Interests and Community Service:

  • Hiking
  • Climbing
  • Backpacking
  • Fishing
  • Soccer
  • River trips
  • Bluegrass
