Research Interests and Activities:

My research focus is on Northern Hemisphere paleoclimatology from lake sediments from the West Fjords of Iceland. I have a background in geology with research experience investigating Antarctic ice sheet dynamics of the past through sedimentological and geochemical analyses.  I am fascinated with Polar Regions and hope to contribute research that furthers our knowledge and understanding of climate interactions with these sensitive environments.

Personal Interests and Community Service:

  • Outdoor activities: hiking, backpacking,
    camping, etc.
  • Traveling as often as possible
  • Painting, drawing, making music
  • Cooking and eating
  • Spending quality time with family and friends
