Research Interests and Activities:

  • I am new to New Hampshire and I have transplanted myself from Oregon to be part of Center from the Environment. I am currently working with my advisor Dr. Brian Eisenhauer on a project titled: Changing Homeowner’s Lawn Care Behavior to Reduce the Nutrient Losses in New England’s Urbanizing Watersheds. I am coming in on the third and final year of this project and will be working on implementing the last stage of surveys and interviews, formative evaluation, developing education and outreach methods, and helping to write journal articles.
  • My research interests lie in exploring the motivating factors that attract/detour people towards pro-environmental behavior. A major component to the social science research part of the lawn care project is determining the correlation between values, attitudes, and social norms to actual behavior. This information will aid in working with New England residents at reducing nutrient runoff and be an intriguing thesis topic that could be applied to broader contexts.
