Plymouth State is committed to assisting any individual requiring special accommodations. Please be aware that seating includes bleachers or seating accessible by stairs. If a participating graduate or a guest who plans to attend either Spring Convocation (undergraduates only) or Commencement requires assistance, such as special seating, sign language interpretation, or other services, we ask that you file a Special Services Form to notify us of your needs. Please complete the electronic form below. All forms must be completed no later than 5pm on Friday May 8, 2015.
Note: Guests who have requested special accommodations still need a ticket for admittance to the ceremony.
Handicap parking is available on a first come, first served basis for vehicles with a state-issued handicapped placard or plate. Plymouth State will make every effort to accommodate the needs of each individual, including drop off and pick up near the venue.
Seating for guests with special needs is limited and available on a first come, first served basis (even with the completion of the Special Services Form). To maximize available seating, only one companion may accompany each guest with a disability. On the day of the event all guests with accessibility issues are encouraged to arrive early. Volunteers will be available to provide assistance. Plymouth State is committed to accommodating each individual to the extent possible.
An ambulance with an EMT will be onsite. University police officers will be available to assist participants at every viewing location in the event of any emergency situation. You may call (603) 535-2330 for Public Safety/University Police or 911 for an emergency.
No pets will be allowed in any building during Commencement. However, service animals are welcome for those with special needs (please indicate below).
