
About Professor Holba
Annette Holba earned her B.A. in Law and Justice Studies from Rowan University, her M.A. in Liberal Studies from Rutgers University, and her Ph.D. in Rhetoric from Duquesne University. Her teaching interests include communication ethics, communication research methods, communication theory, rhetorical theory, and philosophy of communication. Her areas of research activity focus on rhetoric and philosophy of communication. Dr. Holba engages in interpretive research through philosophical hermeneutics. Specific areas of interest to her include philosophical leisure and communicative aesthetics; the intersection of rhetoric, aesthetics, and hermeneutics; contemporary applications of classical rhetoric; the Latin language; and rhetorical inquiry of Lizzie Borden studies.
