Community Service Orientation

Community Service Orientation is a unique program for incoming students at Plymouth State University. CSO introduces participants to the campus community with leadership activities, service projects and social events.  The program occurs the week before classes begin.  This year’s dates will be Thursday, August 29th – Monday, September 2nd.  Participation for the entire program is expected.
In the past, we have worked with some great community partners including: Pemi Youth Center, Squam Lakes Natural Science Center and D-Acres!

Space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Because CSO allows students to move into their Residence Halls early, we need to receive all applications no later than Friday, August 2nd, 2013!  A tentative schedule can be found here. There is a $175 registration fee for students participating in CSO.  The fee covers all meals, housing, trasnportation and planned activities during CSO.  Students will need to plan for some spending money for items like additional snacks or personal expenditures not covered by CSO.

Previous CSO participants have made significant contributions to other aspects of campus life, including student government, residential life, and other student organizations.  We hope you will get connected early on!
