PSU Volunteers Meetings

Every-other Tuesday – 7:00pm
PSU Volunteers meetings take place in the HUB Senate Room.  All are welcome!

Service Saturdays

We don’t have any scheduled as of yet, but we’re hoping to have a couple in September and October!

Transportation and lunch provided for Service Saturdays.

Empty Bowls

Empty Bowls is a Hunger Awareness event that raises money for local organizations working to alleviate hunger in their community.  The event is a collaboration between the Community Service Center and the Art Department/Ceramics program at PSU.  Tickets will be on sale in the HUB Pawsway from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on November 12, November 13 and November 18th.  Remaining tickets will be on sale the night of the event.

Lucky Dog, Thai Smile, M ‘n M Scoops, Biederman’s, The Common Cafe and Foster’s Boiler Room are donating soup.  Sodexo is donating bread.  More to come!

Tickets are $10 for Adults/Faculty/Staff and $7 for PSU Students.  Purchase of a ticket entitles the bearer (on the night of the event) to a handmade bowl, soup and bread.  All proceeds will be donated to the Plymouth Area Community Closet and the Student Support Foundation Food Pantry.

Angel Tree Project

The Angel Tree Project provides gifts for Plymouth area youth and teens whose families are struggling during the holiday season.  Many need warm clothes, while for others a toy will provide a little something under the tree. The Angel Tree Project will get underway on Wednesday, November 19th at their annual Kick-Off Party in the HUB Fireplace Lounge.  Stop by for a cookie or brownie and some hot cocoa and consider purchasing a gift for one of the many Angels on our tree.

November 20 & 21, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Fireplace Lounge

As always, each Angel provides a list of wishes for this holiday season, should you choose to purchase a gift for an Angel, purchase what you are willing & able to.
