Alternative Spring Break

ASB – The Vacation of a Lifetime!

Instead of heading to a beach or ski slope with their peers, PSU students and Faculty/Staff advisors spend their Spring Break serving communities throughout the United States.

We anticipate sending three trips out for the March 2015 break. Previous locations have included: Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and New Mexico. Previous projects have included: working with Habitat for Humanity, Union League Boys and Girls Club, and Aquariums and Animal Shelters.

Check this out! One of our 2014 groups helped with a Public Service Announcement!

All of the student coordinators are previous ASB participants. Kristina Velasquez, Cassidy Spencer and Ben Ward are the coordinators for 2014 – 2015.

How Do I Take Part?

ASB groups form early in the fall to allow ample time for fundraising which keeps out of pocket costs low.  ASB will begin recruiting at the Activities Fair in September 2014!!!  Applications are due no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, September 19th, 2014.  Groups are formed in the fall semester and generally do not add any new participants in the spring semester unless students were on a wait list from the fall.
