Some of the benefits of living in a college town are well known: cultural and arts activities are plentiful, there are top-notch recreation and athletic facilities, the resources of a large, well-stocked library as well as lectures on important topics to name a few. But there are other contributions a university makes to the surrounding community.

The people who work here at Plymouth State also live in the area. And in so many ways they make an important impact on their communities and institutions. We want to highlight some of their efforts.

PSU Students Provide Free Tax Return Preparation Service
Hundreds of PSU students have volunteered their tax preparation expertise over the course of the 30 year-old program, while 75-100 local taxpayers get their returns completed, on average, in a normal year.
