Pease Public Library AdvocateNancy Dyer, health educator and coordinator at the Counseling and Human Relations Center, has lived in Plymouth for 16 years. She sits on the Young Ladies Library Association board of directors and was involved in a fundraising campaign that raised more than $100,000 for the local library. She is a board member of the Community for Drug Free Youth, a local coalition that works to combat underage drinking and other illegal drug use. She also works with the Plymouth Community Free Clinic as a volunteer social worker. Her husband, Scott Meyer, who is a professor in the Social Work Department, is currently on the Plymouth Regional Clinic board, which provides healthcare to those without insurance. They both support community fundraisers such as First Star Tonight, the Homeless Shelter and Voices against Violence.
