Recipients are selected by a committee composed of faculty and the chair of the Computer Science and Technology Department. The award is worth approximately $500.00.
The purpose of this endowed fund is to provide a scholarship for a student majoring in Computer Science. The scholarship award, based on academic excellence, will be granted to a full-time student in their senior year at Plymouth State University. Recipients are selected by a committee composed of faculty and the chair of the Computer Science and Technology Department. The award is worth approximately $700.00.
Each semester the Computer Science and Technology Department selects one of its students to manage the department's computing facilities. The student is responsible for the installation of software, configuration of systems and solving technical problems. Upper-level students may apply for the position. The applicant should have prior experience with PC hardware and software. The fellow is selected by a committee of the department's faculty members and is worth $1500 per semester. Openings for this position will be posted.
Each year the Computer Science and Technology Department chooses the "Outstanding Senior" from both of its majors. This award, for the soon-to-graduate student, is based on many factors including grades, participation in computing activities, enthusiasm and others. In recognition for their efforts the students' names are placed on the Outstanding Senior plaque on display in the Computer Science and Technology Department offices.
