Michael Fischler

Michael came to PSU in 1970. He is Director of the Counseling and Human Relations Center.

Biographical data:
Along with being the Director of the Counseling and Human Relations Center Michael is a professor in the Education Department. He is active in public speaking, presenting workshops and publishing articles in areas that focus on social behavior and cultural diversity. Michael specializes in human behavior and teaches courses which focus on cultural diversity, social behavior, and interpersonal and group process.

PSU committees and involvements are:
Meaningful work has no boundaries. Michael's efforts are directed toward enlivening and contributing toward the interdependent growth of the campus and the community. He is advisor to the Multicultural Society and Tau Omega sorority; founder of "First Star Tonight"; Hospice volunteer; and Chair of the Graduate Council.

Mike's hobbies include:
Laughing, lecturing, closeness with his family, eating good food, traveling and playing guitar.

Likes:
Making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Dislikes:
When he doesn't make a positive difference in the lives of others.
