Money plays a vital role in the economy. Financial innovations by banks can affect the money supply and thus economic growth. Students learn the central bank’s role in ensuring a stable money supply in the economy, how and why the money supply may change, how banks operate, and how consumers, firms, and foreign exchanges are affected.
