LL4300 - Literacy in Language Learning
Examines current theories and practice of first and second language literacy development. Topics include developing literate behaviors, reading and writing fluency strategies, vocabulary development, and the writing process. Emphasizes the development of participants’ proficiency in teaching reading and writing to students of different ages and ability levels through phonics, whole language, and integrated approaches.
