About Professor Cantor
Professor Cantor completed all the formal requirements toward the Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins University, except for the dissertation. Concentrations were in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Statistics & Probability Theory. He received his MSE (Master of Science in Engineering) from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He received his BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering) from Tufts University. Since 2008, at Plymouth State University, he has been teaching a 4-credit course in Physical Science, which incorporates lecture and laboratory components. He is an Adjunct Faculty in Physics at St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, FL. , where he has taught courses in Physics II (calculus-based) Lecture, Physics II Laboratory, and Physical Science. Also, he held the position of Instructor in Electrical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, where he taught lecture course in Circuit Theory and in Communications Theory. Additionally, he held a part-time Instructorship in Physical Science at Towson State College (now Towson University), Baltimore, MD, where he taught a course in Physical Science, which consisted of lecture and laboratory. While a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University, he held a Teaching Assistantship in the Department of Electrical Engineering, which involved teaching recitation sections and laboratories. His industrial experience includes that at the MITRE Corporation, a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC), where he was Task Leader and Chief Engineer of a Rubidium Standard Foreign Comparative Integrated Product Team (IPT), for which he wrote the final report to the Air Force and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). Also, he was a Staff Systems Engineer at Sypris Electronics, where he worked on cryptographic devices. He has been a member of the Technical Review Committee of the IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium
