Mark Sylvestre Planetarium

The Mark Sylvestre Planetarium in Boyd Science Center provides a window on the universe. With programs presented by NASA Solar System Ambassador Sally Jean Jensen and Planetarium Director Dennis Machnik, the planetarium is a resource for the entire community.

The 31-seat facility offers:

  • Programs for astronomy enthusiasts, adults and children
  • Accessible seating for visitors with disabilities
  • Starlab Sky Projector
  • LCD projector with VHS, DVD, and Internet connections
  • Portable planetarium for off-site presentations at schools and other organizations (made possible by a gift from Verizon)
