About Professor Talbot

Professor Talbot teaches from his diverse management and finance experience.  He started at an early age in the family retail [clothing] business. While in college he interned at Central Savings Bank [LowellMA] where he returned to launch his banking career, progressing from clerk to senior VP.  He established Granite Bank in Milford as its President / CEO.  He was later recruited by Tech Resources, Inc. where he served as Treasurer / CFO.  Following completion of his MBA, he served as Treasurer / CFO of Loon Mountain Recreation Corporation, its successor Booth Creek Ski Holdings where he oversaw the finance of eight ski resorts, later as CFO of Stratton Corporation and as interim CEO of Bolton Valley Holiday Resort.

Talbot considers his true vocation as educator.  During his banking career he taught evening courses in real estate finance, lending, and money & banking at University of Massachusetts Lowell.  He came to PSU in 2002 as adjunct and is currently full-time contract faculty in finance and economics.  He also taught at Granite State College.

Talbot enjoys his role in advising students and regularly critiques resumes and coaches graduating seniors for job interviews.
