Winterim 2016 offering: CJ3710 “Intro to Cyber Criminology

This course provides an introduction to the history, terminology, investigation and legal issues related to internet and computer crime and the examination of digital evidence. Topics covered will include but are not limited to sex crimes, hacking, cyberbullying, financial scams and fraud, cyber-terrorism and espionage, behavioral profile of offenders and computer forensics.

A comprehensive overview of contemporary corrections, with special emphasis on community-based corrections as an alternative to incarceration. Topics include the purposes of punishment, rights of prisoners, treatment programs, and conditions of confinement. Falls and Springs. Prerequisite(s): CJ 1010.
