Every Communication Studies major completes a capstone experience before graduating. For some students, this experience is an exciting internship with a television station, film company, non-profit and for-profit organizations. Internships may be experienced locally or globally. For other students, the capstone involves conducting original research related to cultural or rhetorical analysis of mediated communication (print media, television, film, professional/public communication), writing a screenplay, shooting and editing a short film, or analyzing the cinematic works of a specific director.
