Jini Rae Sparkman

Graduate Assistant

BA, Plymouth State University
Email: jrsparkman@plymouth.edu

Jini Rae Sparkman is a graduate of Plymouth State University. Much of her academic work draws from contemporary applications of cultural criticism particularly in regards to gender constructions, social justice, and popular culture. Her focus in education is founded in her role as a teacher-educator. It is her belief that we have the distinct opportunity to influence the world by opening doors to new knowledge and patterns of thinking, and by fostering a desire to learn, consider others and their ideas, and approach life with a heightened awareness. Engagement with active reading, writing, and critical thinking develops a greater social awareness and cultivates the ability to understand the reality that individuals create for themselves.

Jini has participated in the New Hampshire Writing Project and also works with the PSU Athletics Department and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
