Introduction

Languages & Linguistics offers students  a portal to global awareness by promoting understanding, acceptance and diversity.  In this globally minded setting students have unique options to expand their knowledge. Some of the programs offered include a major or minor in  French and Spanish; minors in TESOL and Applied Linguistics; and language course offerings in American Sign Language. Languages and Linguistic students also have opportunities for study abroad experiences around the world.

The Language and Linguistics Department is also the site for the Center for English Language and American Culture.  The Center provides language and cultural courses to ESL students interested in pursuing college level study in the United States via the Semester for Academic Language Success and the Summer Academic Language Program.
