About Professor Jones
Brenda Jones returned to our faculty in fall 2011 from Alaska, having been a member of our adjunct teaching team from 1982 through 1995. She has taught mathematics to diverse students, having lived and taught in Hawaii as well as Alaska. Her passion is showing students that math is in everything and that math is powerful and exciting. She is a portrait artist and has displayed portraits of her students both in her classroom as well as in private art showings. These portraits were awarded to students that graduated. She loves all animals, especially horses and dogs, and also enjoys being a “Big Sister” and volunteering.
