About Professor Rivanis
Leal Rivanis joined the department as an adjunct faculty member in 2009. He left briefly to pursue a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education but decided to leave the doctorate program in order to gain valuable teaching experience. Currently, Leal has an M.Ed. from PSU in Mathematics Education and is certified to teach mathematics for grades 7-12. He served as a substitute teacher for Oyster River Cooperative School District for both the middle school and high school during the 2011-12 school year. Leal’s hobbies include basketball, football, running, and online gaming.
